Update on the British Heart Foundation (BHF) partnership with Pink Skip Hire!!

2nd October 2013

The Lord Mayor of Portsmouth, Cheryl Buggy officially declared the partnership between the BHF and Pink Skips open on Friday 17th February 2012.

The ceremony was held at The British Heart Foundation store at their Cosham branch, and was also attended by Jack Fm, The Breeze and The Portsmouth News.

The Lord Mayor was beautifully dressed in pink which produced some lovely pictures for our company portfolio.

So far we have collected 120 sacks of unwanted items from our customers, which could be worth as much as £1800. This could help fund 10 day’s BHF Heart Nursing care or could fund 60 Heart Start UK Training Packs; or could cover the cost of ‘supply cover’, allowing 11 teachers the time away from classes to be trained as Heartstart instructors, able to teach vital emergency life support skills to their pupils.

Customers using Pink Skips have been very supportive. For every 100 bags handed out the BHF have seen an 82 % returned with unwanted clothing ,books and DVD’s – So a very big thank you to you all, from Pink Skip Hire and the British Heart Foundation.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Manager Ian Barnes and all the staff at The British Heart Foundation Cosham, Julie Paffett, Preston Davies and his daughters Kiera and Anais for all their help and support.
